The excessive activities of playing the gambling games may be harmful for people who have the tendency to be highly bounded to one activity that is felt fun or addictive, to be a severe gambling addiction. This gambling problem is often defined a tendency or urge that is experienced by a person to gamble all over again without the desire to stop instead of the risk or negative effects that may occur if they continue doing the activities.

The gambling addiction is generally termed as a compulsive gambling by many professionals that handles the gambling addiction problems that is suffered by so many people. This problem is often considered as harm for the gambler rather than a general behavior that is generally had mentally. Some people or families that have already realized the unhealthy behavior that is experienced by them, or maybe one member of the family, can bring the addicted person to the rehabilitation center where the professional will be able to help them reduce or even lose the gambling problem. In the process of rehabilitation, the person having the problem will be diagnosed whether he or she suffers the less severe or the severe problem gambling, that is often called as pathological gambling. Hence, the rehabilitation will be done differently based on this initial diagnose.
